The outer material is made of pure cotton and the inner lining is made of matching soft cotton fabric. This makes the bag particularly flexible and lightweight. A small production facility in Jaipur, India, manufactures the embroidered cotton bags under fair working conditions. No animal products are used in the manufacturing process, and the cotton fabrics are printed by hand using a wooden stamp. Since the employees apply the Kantha embroidery made of cotton thread using a sewing machine and the inner part is sewn in with a sewing machine, a purely vegan product is created.Resource-friendly
The production facility thrives primarily on the uniquely beautiful block print process, which has a long tradition in Jaipur. The employees print the motifs and patterns onto the cotton fabrics by hand using large wooden stamps with natural, azo-free dyes. The production uses machines only on a small scale, such as irons and sewing machines, so that the small enterprise saves a lot of water and electricity compared to other large production facilities.- Dimensions (LxHxD) approx.: 65 x 36 x 33 cm (seam dimensions). When filled, the bag is very large. The bag has a volume of approx. 75 - 80 LITERS! (since the bag is made of cotton, it is very stretchy); the dimensions are pure "seam" dimensions.
