The outer material is made of pure cotton and the inner lining is made of matching soft cotton fabric. This makes the bag particularly flexible and lightweight. A small production facility in Jaipur, India, manufactures the embroidered cotton bags under fair working conditions. Production avoids the use of large machinery, which saves large amounts of water and electricity. The resource-saving process reflects the relaxed working atmosphere. No animal products are used in the manufacturing process and the cotton fabrics are printed by hand using a wooden block. Since the employees apply the Kantha embroidery made of cotton thread with a sewing machine and the inner part is sewn in by machine, a purely vegan product is created.Resource-saving
The production facility thrives primarily on the uniquely beautiful block print process, which has a tradition in Jaipur. The employees print the motifs and patterns onto the cotton fabrics by hand with large wooden blocks using natural, azo-free dyes. The production uses machines only on a small scale, such as irons and sewing machines, so that the small company saves a lot of water and electricity compared to other large production facilities.
