The artisans print the pure cotton fabric by hand using wooden stamps. This process is called block printing. Afterwards, the bags are embellished with the famous traditional Kantha embroidery. The handmade XL shopper "Pink Krane" is well-thought-out down to the smallest detail and stands out from the mainstream with effortless ease.

Fair, resource-friendly, and with a creative spirit

The outer material is made of pure cotton, and the lining is made of matching soft cotton fabric. A small production facility in Jaipur, India, makes these embroidered cotton bags under fair working conditions. The production avoids the use of large machines, thereby saving large amounts of water and electricity. The resource-friendly process reflects the relaxed working atmosphere. We place great value on special, one-of-a-kind pieces that were created with love and a creative spirit, and which continue to be created—also thanks to our and your support.

Vegan bags

No animal products are used in the manufacturing process, and the cotton fabrics are printed by hand with a woodblock. Since the artisans apply the Kantha embroidery using cotton thread with a sewing machine, and the inner part is sewn in by machine, the result is a purely vegan product.

Resource-friendly

The production facility thrives primarily on the uniquely beautiful block printing process, which has a long tradition in Jaipur. The artisans print the motifs and patterns onto the cotton fabrics by hand using large wooden stamps and natural, azo-free dyes. The production uses machines only on a small scale, such as irons and sewing machines, so the small enterprise saves much more water and electricity compared to other large production facilities.
