This process is called block printing. A small production facility in Jaipur, India, manufactures the embroidered cosmetic bags under fair working conditions. The production avoids working with large machines, which saves large amounts of water and electricity. This resource-friendly process reflects the relaxed working environment. No animal products are used in the manufacturing process, and the cotton fabrics are printed by hand with a wooden stamp. Since the employees apply the Kantha embroidery using cotton thread and a sewing machine, and sew in the polyester inner part with a sewing machine, the result is a purely vegan product.Resource-friendly
The production facility thrives primarily on the uniquely beautiful block print process, which has a long tradition in Jaipur. The artisans print the motifs and patterns onto the cotton fabrics by hand using large wooden stamps with natural, azo-free dyes. The production uses machines only on a small scale, such as irons and sewing machines, so the small company saves a lot of water and electricity compared to other large production facilities.
