The outer material is made of pure cotton, and the inner lining is cotton or waterproof polyester. A small production facility in Jaipur, India, crafts these embroidered cosmetic bags under fair working conditions. The production process avoids the use of large machinery, saving significant amounts of water and electricity. This resource-efficient process reflects the relaxed working atmosphere. No animal products are used in the manufacturing process, and the cotton fabrics are hand-printed using wooden blocks. Since the staff applies the Kantha embroidery with cotton thread via sewing machine and inserts the polyester lining by machine, the result is a purely vegan product.Resource-efficient
The production facility thrives primarily on the uniquely beautiful block printing process that has a long tradition in Jaipur. The artisans print the motifs and patterns onto the cotton fabric by hand using large wooden blocks and natural, azo-free dyes. The production uses machines only to a small extent, such as irons and sewing machines, allowing the small company to save much more water and electricity compared to other large manufacturing sites.
