What is Dhokra? 

Dhokra is a lost-wax metal casting process that originated in India over 4,000 years ago. Since then, it has been a tradition that is still maintained and carried on today by smiths in villages in West Bengal and Orissa. Each individual object is handcrafted using a unique mold, which is broken after the firing process. This makes every metal piece, no matter how small, a one-of-a-kind item.
