The bag, made in Rajasthan, India, has been brought to life from embroidered and antique textiles of the nomadic Banjara tribe, which originated in northern India with roots in Afghanistan and Mewar.
"The Banjara" were formerly a nomadic people who now live as farmers and gypsies in the villages of northern India. To this day, the women are known for the most complicated and magnificent embroidery in all of India. Some of the materials used come from the provinces of Gujarat and Rajasthan and are over 50 years old. With great attention to detail and in colorful splendor, the bag was purchased under fair working conditions and, due to its years of history, may have small irregularities and wear.
